Middle School

HONING AND DEVELOPING LEARNERS

The IJA Middle School Program for Grades 4 to 8, supports students as they transition into young adolescence, fostering strengthened character, deeper faith, and heightened social responsibility. During this stage, learners become increasingly aware of their roles as patriotic Filipinos who value their cultural identity and actively contribute to a respectful, inclusive school community.

The Middle School Curriculum guides students beyond basic knowledge toward critical thinking, analysis, and practical application, ensuring they are fully prepared for the rigors of high school. In these grades, learners manifest self-discipline and responsibility in their time management, and independence, and demonstrate the core values of integrity and excellence in more mature ways.

Middle school learners also expand their 21st-century skills- including creativity, communication, collaboration, and digital literacy. By developing resilience, empathy, and the ability to make responsible choices, they continue to grow holistically in mind, body, and spirit.

REFINING YOUR CHILD's FUNDAMENTAL SKILLS

As our learners continue to grow so do the challenges they face. Beyond bolstering their literacy and numeracy we equip our learners with the skills they need to thrive

STUDY SKILLS

Developing effective study habits, note-taking, time management, and basic research skills (like finding reliable sources and organizing information) prepares students for high school-level work.

CRITICAL THINKING

Encouraging students to analyze situations, evaluate evidence, and consider different perspectives helps them become independent thinkers.

CONFLICT RESOLUTION

Learning to handle conflicts constructively and to bounce back from challenges with a growth mindset fosters both resilience and maturity.

LEADERSHIP

Students should have opportunities to lead projects, work in teams, and learn how to take responsibility within group settings.
